What do you like most about your Carone Learning course? I like watching the video lessons and riding my bike for my fitness activity.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life? I have learned that moving and staying active is good for me to do!

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness? It has helped me improve because I now try to be active everyday.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals? My instructor has responded quickly to my questions and given helpful tips.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial? I signed up for this course to go with my homeschool work. It has been beneficial because I am learning new things about health and fitness.

Here’s what Benny’s teacher had to say about him: Benny is so enthusiastic about all that he does. He works hard with his parents to do the best that he can. He also has the best jokes that make my day!

An example of the good work the Benny does is on his 1.3 assignment where he matched pictures with emotions he made sure that all emotions that could be been more than one were labeled with each option and explained as well.

Meet Julia L. Carone Learning Student of the Week!

Julia took Advanced PE 1 through Carone Learning she has enjoyed expanding her knowledge, and working on all areas of physical fitness to help her as a track athlete. She has enjoyed the course content, earning high school credit and working at her own pace.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course? I love the freedom it gives me to learn and work at my own pace. I also love seeing other students’ comments from all across the world- it is really amazing to make connections with people in completely different countries!

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life? I’ve learned a lot about balance in exercise, and taking a full-body approach to fitness and wellness. I think that is incredibly important, and is so healthy in the long-run!

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness? I have been encouraged to try different fitness activities, and to break out of my usual workout schedule, pushing myself, and listening to my body. I have loved trying new things, and taking a new approach to fitness.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals? Ms. Heidi has been very helpful in helping me meet my goals, and I am grateful for all of her insight!

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial? I signed up for this course to fulfill my graduation requirements for high school, and I have learned so much from this course.

Please share any other comments you have about cFitness Academy or your Carone Learning course: I have loved this course so far, and I’m glad I am fulfilling my credit requirements, while learning something new- all at my own pace.

Julia is always providing great quality work in all of her assignments. She is continually on schedule and makes sure to respond quickly to any check ins or questions that I might have. She has been dealing with some setbacks in her routines recently but has consciously made an effort to change things up so that she can still be active and continue to meet her physical goals too, which I admire. – H. In a team huddle (where students share thoughts and ideas about a certain topic) Julia explained how her level of fitness for one area compares to another. Here is what she said: “I am a track athlete- so I feel like my physical fitness is very much specialized in cardio, and obviously my legs- however I do think it is consistent overall. I have noticed that my upper body is lacking in strength (as seen in my physical assessment, from my very poor demonstration of pushups). I make a large effort to condition my entire body, even though most of my workouts revolve around running. My daily workout regimen includes abs, and cross-training as well, with some swim workouts, and weighted leg workouts as well, but, as I am recovering from injury and I am naturally weaker in my arms, it is hard to devote as strong or specific of a workout to my upper body. There is a noticeable difference in intensity between my upper body training and my other training, but I think that because of my injuries, this is natural. I think that continuing my PT and keeping up with my (beginner!) arm exercises, my arms will grow stronger as they heal over time- and hopefully be on par with the rest of my body, soon.”

Meet Luke V. Carone Learning Student of the Week!

Luke is taking strength training and has done very well improving his strength and endurance throughout the course. He has appreciated this course encouraging him to stay active during the lockdown in the UK, where he is at, schools have remained closed this year.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course? It helps me to keep active during the lockdown.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life? How to endure when things get tough.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness? I was fairly inactive before starting with Carone Learning. Now I can run for longer times and my strength is improving.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals? She has stayed in contact with me weekly and asks if I need any help. She is very encouraging and replies to my assignments with helpful tips.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial? I would not have been able to do a course in person over the past year since the schools are closed in the UK. Carone fitness has helped me to be able to exercise at my own pace.

Please share any other comments you have about cFitness Academy or your Carone Learning course: I’ve enjoyed strength training and Carone fitness has helped me to develop good habits in strength training for the future.

In the Strength Training course students are asked to do an assignment “Analyzing the Athlete”, where students take a look at a specific athlete or athletic position and put together a workout routine specific to that.
Luke’s analysis was very well done: Patrick Mahomes; Football, Quarterback – Exercises to include: Bicep Curls (You need some strong biceps to throw a football very fast or far), Tricep Extensions (Your triceps are also important in throwing the football), Shoulder Press (Your shoulders are also very Important in throwing a football), Weighted squats (Quarterbacks also need to run at times and they better have strong legs to do it. They also need be able to stand their ground when being pulled down), Weighted Lunges (You need a balance of hams and quads in order to prevent injury), Rows (A quarterback needs a strong back to help with throwing the ball)

Meet Alexis S. Carone Learning Student of the Week!

Alexis is taking Intro to Nursing through Carone Learning, she enrolled in the course to learn more about nursing and help her make a decision about what field of study to pursue in college. Alexis has enjoyed the flexibility of the course schedule, as well as the ease of the site. She liked that the content for the course was easily accessible and she understood what was expected of her.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course? It was easy to use once you got used to the site and I was able to fully understand anything that was taught or expected of me to know.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life? That you can easily work ahead due to online classes and I will now know the basics of nursing when going into college for it.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness? It has made me aware of the things I should do better and the thing I’m doing well at.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals? She has always responded back when I had a concern or question about anything and gave me useful feedback!

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial? I signed up to know if I would like nursing before I officially made it my major for college. This is because for the longest time I have thought I would become a first grade teacher and wanted to be sure in my decision. Taking this course gives me basic knowledge on what I will be learning in college for this major.

As part of the course work Alexis was asked what field of nursing she would be interested in going into. This is her response: “I would choose to become a pediatric nurse as my specialty. This is because I enjoy working with kids. For example, for service hours I run a K – 4th grade dance team at a local elementary school. I also was originally going to college as an elementary education major but just recently decided to go into nursing. I feel I work well with kids and I love talking to them because there’s never a dull day. Helping kids and making them smile is a huge feeling because they always will look up to you and I would like to be a role model for those kids.”

Meet Caleb T. Carone Learning Student of the Week!

Caleb was enrolled in Fitness Fundamentals with us because he didn’t have time in his school schedule. Taking an online course was helpful to him so he could fit other needed courses into his schedule. He liked seeing progress physically in many areas including on the scale, in flexibility and strength! He also learned exercising can be more enjoyable than he thought!

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course? Seeing progress physically.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life? That exercising can be more enjoyable than I thought.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness? I have seen results both on the scale, in my flexibility, and strength.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals? She has sent me reminders to submit my assignments.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial? Because I needed a fitness class to show to my school. Taking this course online was beneficial since this unusual time could not hinder this class.

Here’s what Caleb’s teacher had to say about him: I have been particularly impressed with Caleb’s diligence in continually making an effort to get as much of his workouts in and to do a little better each week, even when it proved difficult and frustrating. He’s never given up and even was prepared to do more fitness logs than was required in the course. I appreciate his work ethic. In addition to his fitness logs his quality of work on his assignments has been great and he’s done well to stay on task and take the course seriously. So despite the fitness portion being a struggle Caleb has succeeded in this course and has just been a pleasure to work with as a student and I want to reward him for his efforts.

Meet Nevaeh S. Carone Learning Student of the Week!

Nevaeh was in our Health & Personal Wellness course. She spent time working on her diet and adding exercise in to her routine through her health habit project. She enjoyed tracking her progress and seeing her improvement over the semester.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course? I enjoy tracking my progress from the assignment we started in the first lesson, I enjoy seeing how much I have improved over the course of the semester.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life? The thing in the course that I have learned that helped me the most is learning how to better my communication with others.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness? This course has helped me improve my health in many different ways. One way it has helped me is that it has encouraged me to become more active again since I haven’t been as active since corona hit.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals? My teacher for this course has been amazing. She is so kind and she has pushed me to do the best I can do in the class.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial? I signed up for this course because of Corona. I think this class has benefited me a lot because in my opinion I think it makes me be more dedicated to school and it has also gave me a chance to be able to do more things with my family.

Meet Brooklyn A. Carone Learning Student of the Week!

Brooklyn really enjoyed what she learned in her Carone Learning course. Taking Exercise Science she learned about taking her heart rate properly and that there are many aspects to fitness that affect individuals differently.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course? I have loved the experience that Carone Learning has offered me this semester! I have beyond strengthened my knowledge in the exercise sciene field of education. I find the layout of the course super easy to adhere to and is very beneficial to my learning. I plan to major in exercise science/physical therapy in college, so I feel that this class has helped to further my education in preparation for that journey later in my life!

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life? I think that throughout the exercise science course, the basic skills that it has taught me how to preform will help me the most. An example would be how to take your heart rate or simple tasks like these. They may seem like common sense sometimes, but they are crucial information to know!

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness? I feel that this Carone Learning course has made a humongous difference on how I view physical fitness. It has shown me that everyone is different and not every physical activity will be beneficial for everyone. It has also shown me that so much more plays into physical fitness than just working out. It is about so much more, such as nutrition, sleep, and mental wellness!

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals? I have always felt so supported by my instructor, Anne Kooyman! I am a completely virtual student this school year due to the covid-19 pandemic and I know that as sad as it is, the virtual teachers often look at their virtual students work as a second job that can be done whenever they get around to it. I know that teachers are very busy with one job, so two is surely a handful! With this being said, I have never felt this way with my instructor for this course. If I have questions, she always answers me within hours! I have loved having such an amazing instructor this semester and couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial? I signed up for this course online because I am working to educate myself in the medical field as much as possible before heading off to college! I feel that if I can get a head start on the information, it will already be familiar and take some of the stress of college off of my shoulders initially! I found this to be very beneficial personally because I thought this was a very well set up class to learn in an online setting without making it too complex, but still challenging!

Meet Nathan R. Carone Learning Student of the Week!

Nathan really enjoyed being in his walking course. He appreciated the ability to do assignments at his own pace, but also the fitness requirement that helped him stay on track with fitness logs and stick to a routine. He wishes more people realized the connection that physical health has on mental health!

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course? I really appreciate the ability to go at your own pace. I was able to choose when I wanted to walk every day, which was really nice. The deadlines weren’t as strict as they are at school, which gave me some needed flexibility.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life? Getting up and walking every day is truly rewarding, especially for mental health. It may not seem like physical activity and mental health are connected, but they’re very related. That’s something I wish more people knew.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness? I started this course with absolutely no workout routine. Now that it’s over, I’m walking almost an hour every day. This course has been so good for my body and my routine, especially with everything shut down right now.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals? Mrs. Kooyman has been SO encouraging to all of us in the class! She always responds to our work with feedback that makes us proud of what we’re doing. She responds to my logs with tips about exercising in the heat and avoiding soreness. Sometimes, she would email me privately and let me know that she appreciated something I turned in. I’ve genuinely loved having her as a teacher.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial? I signed up because I needed to fulfill the other half of my high school’s required athletics credit. Taking this course has helped me create a daily walking routine that I desperately needed, and I’m so grateful.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course? I like that it was fun and engaging and so was my teacher.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life? I have learned why fitness is important, things to do, and what not to do while exercising, new exercises from the exercise library, and about my muscles.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness? My course has helped me improve my level of fitness because it has encouraged me to do more exercise, given me reasons to do more exercise, and has given me a better outlook and attitude towards exercise.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals? My instructor I can’t say enough about. She responded quickly, and promptly, answered whatever questions I had, and she made the course material exciting, and fun to learn about. She was fun and encouraging, and was a motivation to do well on my school.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial? My parents signed me up for this course because I didn’t get enough exercise and didn’t like to exercise at all. I learned that exercise is important.

I would definitely recommend it to a friend, and the reason I am better at yoga and do more exercise is because I was encouraged to during this course. Let us introduce you to our student of the week, H.R.! H.R. took Comprehensive PE through us. She learned and established a well-balanced routine and what a difference it makes. She appreciated that her instructor cared about her work and if she was getting the most out of the course.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course? I enjoyed the flexibility I had. Since I took this course during the school year, it was nice to have the chance to work around the hours I needed for school and other activities while still learning what I needed from this course.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life? I learned that establishing a well-balanced routine really does make a difference. People tend to fall off the bandwagon before they can see results. However, with a heavier responsibility to stay dedicated, I was able to see that what I learned does make a difference in the long run.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness? This course has definitely helped me to properly exercise and improve in a more efficient way. I have noticed how certain activities that I have come to enjoy aren’t as difficult as they once were, so they’re easier to enjoy and encouraged me to challenge myself over time.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals? My instructor was willing to answer my questions and always seemed concerned to make sure I was getting the most out of my course.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial? I signed up for this course to fulfill the credit I need to graduate. With my parents, I decided that it would be beneficial to have the flexibility of an online course so I had room in my class schedules for other classes. Overall, I think that this course actually made the subject more enjoyable than it would have in an on campus class at my school.
