Solutions for Schools, Students and Parents
Carone Learning provides health, PE, elective, and career education solutions for both schools and individual students.
Educators & Schools
School districts, charter schools, virtual programs, independent study, and private schools have all found our online curriculum to be a great addition to their current health, physical education, elective and CTE programs. We provide the option of delivering our courses thru our own learning management system, or thru a school’s existing LMS. In addition, schools can choose to use Carone Learning’s highly qualified teachers or use their own instructors to teach the courses.
Students & Parents
For parents and students looking for more individualized options, our cFitness Academy is the perfect solution. Through this accredited supplemental online school, students can register for any of the Carone Learning courses independently, to work on them anytime/anywhere, receive personalized feedback from a certified teacher, and earn credit that can be transferred back to their diploma-granting school.
Carone Learning was founded in 2006 by Katie Carone after recognizing a growing need for more individualized health, PE and elective course options for secondary students. Katie’s experience as a school teacher, curriculum developer, e-school administrator, fitness instructor and mother fueled her passion for helping others achieve their personal health and fitness goals through a structured, yet flexible, program. Katie’s background, coupled with her understanding of the power of online learning, led to the creation of Carone Learning (originally known as Carone Fitness).
From its foundation, Carone Learning has partnered with virtual, charter, and brick and mortar schools to provide high quality curriculum options. In response to the requests of students and parents looking to take courses directly, Carone Learning introduced cFitness Academy in 2010. Through this accredited supplemental school, students can take online courses taught by a highly qualified team of teachers to earn course credit needed for graduation.
In 2012, Carone Learning expanded their base of secondary courses to include an elementary health and physical education curriculum. In 2013, Carone Learning joined the initiative to provide high quality career path options for students, with a focus on healthcare and sports and fitness careers. In 2015, the company name was changed to Carone Learning to better reflect a broader focus on health, fitness and career education.
Today, with over 70 courses available, Carone Learning’s focus on Foundational and Lifestyle health and fitness courses and our support of Career Readiness initiatives paves the pathway to a bright and healthy future for students and schools.
Katie Carone has become one of the leading experts in the K-12 health and fitness movement and frequently speaks to educator groups via various association webinars and at industry conferences.
