I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sutton through two nursing courses. She is very dedicated to her course work and pays great attention to detail. She will make a fantastic and skilled nurse someday!

Tell us something about you:
I love running, reading, crafts, spending time with friends, and hiking. I have wanted to be a nurse since the 6th grade, and when I found out I could take an online pre-nursing course for high school students before going to nursing school in the fall, I signed up immediately.

What have you enjoyed most about your Carone Learning course?
I enjoyed that I could learn about something I’m interested in through my nursing Carone Learning course. The content is captivating, I feel like I understand the material, and it has gotten me more excited to pursue a career in nursing.

Meet Miles P. – Carone Learning Student of the Week

Course:
Strength Training

Teacher comment:
This is the second course I’ve been privileged to have Miles a part of. He consistently strives to do his best, whether in his coursework or in his workouts. He is a competitive athlete with an intense schedule and time is tight, which makes it all the more impressive that he makes sure to communicate with me regularly when he has delays or questions. He does a great job staying on pace and submitting quality coursework. I love that he enjoys being active and proactively sets and works towards new fitness and health goals each week. It’s been fun to celebrate his progress and wins with him and I look forward to seeing how much more he can achieve.

Tell us something about you:
In my free time I like to play lacrosse. When I grow up I hope that I can become a professional lacrosse player in the NLL. The reason I’ve chosen to pursue online learning is for my lacrosse schedule this summer.

What have you enjoyed most about your Carone Learning course?
The thing that I have enjoyed most about Caroline learning is seeing my progress through the weeks. Being able to see how much exercise I’ve done through the week helps me adjust on the fly. And I think that this course has made me a better athlete because of that.

Meet Justin M. – Carone Learning Student of the Week

What course are you taking?
Strength Training

What did their teacher have to say about them?
Justin is a hard worker and has tried diligently throughout the semester to use what he’s learned in the weekly lessons towards his assignments and in his workouts. His reflections and progress checkpoints with his fitness goals show that he’s working hard to apply the principles of strength training and that he’s enjoying the rewards of his hard work. I’m proud of the effort he is putting into finding a routine that works well for him. I greatly appreciate the seriousness and honesty he includes in his assignments and discussion responses; the details show an impressive level of comprehension! He’s done a fantastic job in this course all around this semester and I’m glad for the opportunity to be his instructor.

Tell us something about you?
I like to spend my free time gaming with my friends and baking desserts like chocolate lava cake and chocolate chip cookies. I chose online school because I didn’t want to deal with working out at school and changing in the locker room. It felt like a better fit for me. I originally thought I wanted to major in engineering, but after taking a philosophy class, I’ve started to rethink what I want to study in the future.

What have you enjoyed most about your Carone Learning course?
I’ve enjoyed being able to exercise on my own time and choose workouts that I find interesting. I feel stronger and have more energy than before. I also really appreciate how engaged my teacher, Ms. Richards, has been – she stays on top of everything and gives a lot of encouragement, which is nice.
