Lily is taking Fitness Fundamentals 2 – her second course with Carone Learning!
What do you like most about your Carone Learning course? I like how my Carone Learning course, 21-22 Fitness Fundamentals 2_Richards, is structured. It is an online course, but I spend more time exercising than sitting in front of a computer. The online course provides a lot of information in small intervals which makes it easier for me to remember. I love how open-ended the fitness logs are. I can choose my own exercises, so I can do the exercises I love, not the exercises the course chooses for me.
What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life? Carone Learning has taught me a lot about fitness. For someone considering studying medicine, knowing the many things Fitness Fundamentals 2 taught me is useful, regardless of medical specialty.
How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness? I cannot begin to describe how my fitness level has changed. At the beginning of the school year, this Pillsbury dough-girl could barely run a few feet down the road without being winded. Now, my muscles are much stronger, making it easier to complete tasks involving heavy lifting. I have always been “chubby,” but not anymore. A funny story regarding the effectiveness of the exercise in this course: I found a skirt I bought almost four years ago. Back then, it wrapped around my waist and held on very tightly. Now, after four years and a growth spurt, when I put on the skirt, it slides loosely down to my hips.
How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals? My fitness instructor, Mrs. Heidi Richards, has been very helpful in my course. She offers feedback on subjects that help make my workouts not only more effective but fun. It is extremely helpful to have a teacher that understands how hard it can be to get outside and exercise when you live in a location with a lot of snow and wonderfully “warm” temperatures hanging in the negatives for a good chunk of the winter. Her cheerful attitude is part of what makes this course so enjoyable.
Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial? After doing some preliminary research, I signed up for this course to provide a more structured physical education class. I am completely homeschooled, so my physical education class was not very structured. My adult cousin mentioned that her physical education courses in school required exercise and a health course to form that part of her high school grade. Going into high school, it made some aspects of grading harder. It made better sense to use an online course like this one. Having a more structured physical education class made me have a sort of responsibility and want to excel like in my other classes.
Here’s what Lily’s teacher had to say about her: Lily has taken two courses with me and each time she’s been consistent in her work efforts and login activity. Her work is always well done and well thought out and organized, I appreciate that she puts 100% into everything she does. Lily has positively accepted teacher feedback throughout the course and follows through as best she can, such as continually working on her confidence with new workouts when she struggles performing them well. She’s been open to trying new and hard things as she and her companions have varied the workouts every few weeks. I truly believe has benefitted from these courses, both physically and mentally. She’s been a joy to work with these two semesters and look forward to seeing what she has yet to accomplish in the next several weeks.
