Meet Alexa M.! Carone Learning Student of the Week!

Let us introduce you to our student of the week, Alexa M.!  Alexa was enrolled in our Credit Recovery PE course where she enjoyed making up her own workout and executing it at a time that worked for her. She also liked learned to be over all fitness with a combination of physical fitness and good nutrition habits.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

I liked being able to do this course online and work at my own pace. I liked being able to make up my own workout for the class. In a traditional PE class you have to do the exercises the teacher wants, this way is so much better since you can do things you enjoy.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

I learned a lot about being overall fit and it’s a combination of fitness and nutrition.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

I am thin and petite but wasn’t fit. Having to turn in a log each week make you feel accountable for your workouts. I’ve been able to work out with my mom, which has been fun and improve my overall fitness.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

I liked getting emails and having her check in with me. Made me feel like they cared about my progress.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

I wanted to complete my PE outside of my in person school course. We found this course and it was exactly what we were looking for. It’s been great managing my time and doing the work at my pace.

Please share any other comments you have about cFitness Academy or your Carone Learning Course.

It was great! A lot of work but it was worth it!

Here’s what Alexa’s teacher had to say about her:

“She has been on top of her assignments and kept up with the quick pacing in this course. I’ve also been impressed with her desire to improve and try new exercise routines each week throughout the semester. She really has put some thought into this and I have appreciated her diligence and making the effort to find things she enjoys to make exercise a lifelong habit. Her other assignments have also been thorough and well thought out.”

In Alexa’s Credit Recovery PE course they are asked to discuss road blocks in fitness programs. Here is her response:

“1. I think a lot of people set themselves up for failure before they even start an exercise program. They don’t set realistic goals for themselves, then can feel defeated when they are not making the progress they expect, so they give up. I also feel that you can go wrong in assuming fitness is one dimensional. Fitness programs require both property nutrition and a fitness plan that is easy to maintain based on your fitness level. You cant expect to become fit when you are only exercising and not following a healthy diet. With a new program you can get sore and this can also make it hard to want to work out more 2. Some road block can be motivation, lack of accountability and a busy life that may not always allow for time to workout.”

Just as all of our students are unique, we think Alexa is pretty great and we’re proud to have her in class! Thanks, Alexa!
