Let us introduce you to our student of the week, Jessica C.!  Jessica was enrolled in Flexibility. She did not have room in her schedule to fit in PE, so she took it online. She learned how to stretch without hurting her body, she was also excited to create, a tailored to her, work out that was beneficial to her.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

I can go at my own pace but still get the benefits of the exercises and lessons.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

How to properly stretch without harming any of my muscles.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

It’s definitely helped me increase my flexibility and helped me improve my cardio ability.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

She’s been very good with communicating with me about assignments, homework, etc. She’s always willing to help if I have any questions.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

Because PE didn’t fit in my schedule so I decided to do it online. I love that I can go at my own pace and do workouts that are more tailored to me and more beneficial.

Please share any other comments you have about cFitness Academy or your Carone Learning Course.

I’m loving the course. It works so much better for me and my workout schedule and needs. The teacher is great with the students and very easy to communicate with.

Here’s what Jessica’s teacher had to say about her:

“She has continually demonstrated diligence in completing the high quality coursework and staying on track. She also communicates well, and is usually finding ways to make and accomplish new goals in her fitness routines.”

In Jessica’s Flexibility PE course they are asked to discuss the area of fitness they are the strongest and weakest in. Here is Jessica’s response:

“The area of fitness that I feel I am strongest in is flexibility. The area that I think is my weakest is cardio. I think my overall flexibility is a 7 or 8. I believe this because I am quite flexible. I love stretching I do it everyday, and because I did gymnastics for a period of time I have gained quite a bit of flexibility. One thing I want to gain from this course is an increase in my cardio ability. I struggle with it because of always having health issues that prevent me from doing well at it. I’d love to be able to strengthen my body enough to become better at it.”

Just as all of our students are unique, we think Jessica is pretty great and we’re proud to have her in class! Thanks, Jessica!

Meet Alexa M.! Carone Learning Student of the Week!

Let us introduce you to our student of the week, Alexa M.!  Alexa was enrolled in our Credit Recovery PE course where she enjoyed making up her own workout and executing it at a time that worked for her. She also liked learned to be over all fitness with a combination of physical fitness and good nutrition habits.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

I liked being able to do this course online and work at my own pace. I liked being able to make up my own workout for the class. In a traditional PE class you have to do the exercises the teacher wants, this way is so much better since you can do things you enjoy.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

I learned a lot about being overall fit and it’s a combination of fitness and nutrition.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

I am thin and petite but wasn’t fit. Having to turn in a log each week make you feel accountable for your workouts. I’ve been able to work out with my mom, which has been fun and improve my overall fitness.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

I liked getting emails and having her check in with me. Made me feel like they cared about my progress.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

I wanted to complete my PE outside of my in person school course. We found this course and it was exactly what we were looking for. It’s been great managing my time and doing the work at my pace.

Please share any other comments you have about cFitness Academy or your Carone Learning Course.

It was great! A lot of work but it was worth it!

Here’s what Alexa’s teacher had to say about her:

“She has been on top of her assignments and kept up with the quick pacing in this course. I’ve also been impressed with her desire to improve and try new exercise routines each week throughout the semester. She really has put some thought into this and I have appreciated her diligence and making the effort to find things she enjoys to make exercise a lifelong habit. Her other assignments have also been thorough and well thought out.”

In Alexa’s Credit Recovery PE course they are asked to discuss road blocks in fitness programs. Here is her response:

“1. I think a lot of people set themselves up for failure before they even start an exercise program. They don’t set realistic goals for themselves, then can feel defeated when they are not making the progress they expect, so they give up. I also feel that you can go wrong in assuming fitness is one dimensional. Fitness programs require both property nutrition and a fitness plan that is easy to maintain based on your fitness level. You cant expect to become fit when you are only exercising and not following a healthy diet. With a new program you can get sore and this can also make it hard to want to work out more 2. Some road block can be motivation, lack of accountability and a busy life that may not always allow for time to workout.”

Just as all of our students are unique, we think Alexa is pretty great and we’re proud to have her in class! Thanks, Alexa!

Meet Jessica S.! Carone Learning Student of the Week!

Let us introduce you to our student of the week, Jessica S.!  Jessica was enrolled in Intro to Nursing and our Drugs and Alcohol course. She learned a lot about herself and how to handle online courses. She did some career exploration and was able to rule out a career she thought she wanted to pursue.  She was glad to have the opportunity to take these courses.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

What I like learning the most is the lessons. Some day I feel as if I’m into it but some days I’m really into it. Learning these topics are actually educational to me.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

All drugs over the counter or sometime prescribed by doctors may or may not work. Also I took up great things in nursing also.

Here’s what Jessica’s teacher had to say about her:

“Jessica first took Nursing and is now in Drugs and Alcohol, I enjoyed watching her improvement and determination while working through the courses.”

Just as all of our students are unique, we think Jessica is pretty great and we’re proud to have her in class! Thanks, Jessica!

Meet Erika L.! Carone Learning Student of the Week!

Let us introduce you to our student of the week, Erika L.!  Erika was enrolled in Advanced PE 2. She has really appreciated the motivation the course provided to work out, learning that if you make exercising a priority you will have time for it, and  improving her strength.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

The motivation it gives me to work out.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

That I enjoy exercise and if you make it a priority you will have time for it.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

It has helped me do different exercises that I would not have done otherwise and it has really helped with my strength.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

By giving advice and encouragement.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

I signed up to get a credit, and now I really enjoy exercise and plan to continue exercise after this course is finished.

Please share any other comments you have about cFitness Academy or your Carone Learning Course.

It was great! A lot of work but it was worth it!

Here’s what Erika’s teacher had to say about her:

“Erika has been diligent in logging in regularly and submitting excellent work, even amongst a busy school schedule. This semester is hard on everyone, but I’ve been impressed with her ability to keep up with the pacing guide while still providing quality work. She also communicates well when she has questions or concerns about assignments or the course in general. Erika’s fitness routines have been wonderful, but she’s even been open to constructive criticism and attempted to make a few changes to improve her routines and make sure she’s meeting all the requirements for the course.”

In Erika’s Advanced PE 2 course she had the opportunity to discuss with other students the pros and cons of routine exercise vs. variety in exercise. Here is her response:

“I think routine is good because it makes exercise become natural. Even if it is a lazy day and you do nothing else, your routine will have kicked in and you will have still exercised. Routine exercise can make you more productive during your day before you even realize it. On the other side variety is good. Variety will get you into the habit of exercising different things, it will continue to push you in many different aspects. You can change up what you are doing, make it more original and hopefully more fun to try something different. I think that they are both important. I think you need to have at least some sort of routine that you always do, but I also believe that it is good to add some new things into your exercise so that it does not become too redundant.”

Just as all of our students are unique, we think Erika is pretty great and we’re proud to have her in class! Thanks, Erika!

Meet Brooklyn W.! Carone Learning Student of the Week!

Let us introduce you to our student of the week, Brooklyn W.!  Brooklyn was enrolled in physiology with us. She really appreciated the communication and support she had from her teacher. Brooklyn was also really excited to learn information to help improve her health as well as others’ as she works to pursue her upcoming career in nursing.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

This course is a very good learning experience for students interested in exploring their education in physiology. I like that the teacher is very helpful and very responsive to emails. The course is very well organized

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

I have learned a lot of terminology that will better help prepare me for my upcoming nursing career.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

I now know what is most healthy for my body and how much exercise I should be getting each week. My health is very important to watch and pay attention to what foods I eat. It’s taught me to exercise and what exercises are healthy for my body

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

My instructor, Jessica Shumway, is a great teacher. Any questions or concerns I have she always answers emails fast and explains each question I have. She sends me updates each week to let me know how I am doing. She’s helped me have more self confidence. I would like to thank her for being such a great teacher.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

I signed up because my guidance counselor recommended it since I will be attending nursing school. It’s been beneficial to me learn more about anatomy and physiology and the differences between the two.

Please share any other comments you have about cFitness Academy or your Carone Learning Course.

This class was wonderful and very well organized. I would recommend anyone taking the course to help better their knowledge in any subject. My teacher was great help and even made her phone number available so I could reach her anytime. I learned so much from this class and I’m so happy I took it.

Here’s what Brooklyn’s teacher had to say about her:

“Brooklyn is a wonderful student who submits work that has been carefully thought out and heartfelt. The quality is outstanding. She has stayed on pace or ahead throughout the course and is easy to communicate with.”

In Brooklyn’s physiology class she was asked to discuss how to talk with people that might have difficulty, in one way or another, speaking. There was also a follow up question to think about how difficult it would be for you to have troubles speaking. Brooklyn was very thoughtful with her response:

People who have a difficult time getting their words out are just as intelligent as people who don’t. It’s important to have good eye contact and wait patiently for them to finish speaking. I would make sure the person felt comfortable and didn’t feel ashamed to talk. If I couldn’t understand them they could write me little notes so I could understand them better. It’s important to have a positive attitude and good communication skills. The person needs to feel as if you are taking them seriously and even encouraging them to better their speaking skills. It would be very difficult for me if I couldn’t talk because I love to talk and I’m a very outgoing person. My anxiety would be hardest for me because I would struggle with what other people thought of me when I spoke. I would struggle because I like to express how I feel about situations and communicate with people around me. If I couldn’t speak I would find new ways to express myself and become more confident with myself.

Just as all of our students are unique, we think Brooklyn is pretty great and we’re proud to have her in class! Thanks, Brooklyn!

Meet Blaize F.! Carone Learning Student of the Week!

Let us introduce you to our student of the week, Blaize F.!  Blaize took First Aid & Safety through Carone Learning and is now more confident in being able to help others should an injury or possibly emergency arise. He really appreciated the flexibility of the course and how much his instructor helped him.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

The thing I like most about the class is the flexibility as well as the personal assistance from the instructor.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

Unfortunately, people will always get hurt. This course has given me the skills to attend to various injuries or incidents and possibly save a life.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

I am now more aware of and in tune with how to care for myself and others.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

She assisted with technological issues that arose during the course as well as helping me with setting goals and attaining them.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

Because I would like to pursue a career in health care, this course allowed me to learn basic first aid. Taking the course has been beneficial in that it allowed me to learn at my own pace and re-enact / practice life altering scenarios.

Here’s what Matthew’s teacher had to say about him:

“Blaize really showed improvement in First Aid and Safety. He had fallen behind and I wasn’t sure he would be able to finish in time. With lots of communication, he was able to back a complete comeback, complete his course on time and even received an A. Great work Blaize! Blaize broke both his legs a little while ago and his mother mentioned that he has worked really hard to rehabilitate. I see a very hard working young man who is motivated to succeed, even if he needed a little push at the beginning!”

In Blaize’s First Aid class he was asked to create a brochure on how, in his local area he can learn more about first aid and safety, by researching community resources. Blaize was very through with the information for several different resources:

Just as all of our students are unique, we think Blaize is pretty great and we’re proud to have him in class! Thanks, Blaize!
