What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

I love how the course pushes you to do your best and learn as much as you can in a short period of time.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

In my Carone Learning course, I have learned a lot about nutrition and how your body responds to what you put into it. This has helped me understand how to begin living a much healthier and happier lifestyle!

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

By taking this course, I have improved both my level of health and fitness mainly by learning what nutrients my body needs along with how much exercise is needed at my age.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

My instructor has been very supportive of my goals and continues to push me to do my best. She does everything she can to help me succeed and is always very willing to answer all of my questions!

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

I signed up for a course through Carone Fitness Academy because I wanted to further my knowledge in nutrition. By taking this course, I have drastically improved my lifestyle for the better!

Meet Student of the Week Hayley L.!

Let us introduce you to our student of the week, Hayley L.!

Hayley has recently finished her nurition course, she was able to implement some great changes throughout her time in the course. Below is her experience with the course and her changes.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

What I liked most about my Carone Learning course was how I could relate the things I was learning to real life situations and, in some cases, my own life.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

What I learned that will most help me in my life is the role that nutrition plays in my life. Learning this has influenced my choice in food and has helped me improve how I eat.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

The nutrition course I took has helped me improve my level of health because it has helped me improve my eating habits. I’ve eaten so much better since learned how to plan my meals and choose healthy foods.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

My instructor has helped me with my course goals by being there to help any time that I needed it and by giving feedback on everything I did.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

I signed up for a course through cFitness Academy because I thought it would be the best option to learn more about health and fitness. Taking the course online has been beneficial because I could work on it whenever and I could work at my own pace.

cFitness has allowed me to work through health at a pace that fits my schedule. I am being more challenged and learning some great self studying skills because of online health.

In Hayley’s nutrition class she has been implementing what she’s learned about nutrition into her daily diet, she wrote about her experience. 

REFLECTION DIARY: November 19, 2016 My grandma and I have been doing really well with our meal planning. The things I’ve learned from this class has helped a lot with that. I feel so much better with myself. I’m eating more, so I’m not hungry as much. But the things I’ve been eating are healthy, so not only have I been feeling more full, I have been feeling more energized. The things I have to do at work make me more active. I have to walk around a lot; I am on my feet the entire time I’m there. I also have to lift various things and sometimes move shelves. The things I have to do aren’t much, but they’re more physically active things than the things I would do normally. When I first started, I would get so tired with almost all of my tasks. Not only was I tired because I was working after school, but I was tired because I wasn’t that used to having to move around so much. Now the only reason I get tired is because I’m working after school. I’m pretty much used to the physical aspects of my job now, and that makes me feel pretty happy.

Student of the Week Aidan M.

Let us introduce you to our student of the week, Aidan M.! Aiden has been motivated by the information in his nutrition class to eat better and exercise. Let’s hear what he has to say about his nutrition course. 

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

That I can learn without pressure.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

Nutrients, because I am a vegetarian.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

It has improved amazingly.

 

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

It’s been beneficial by because I’m a vegetarian I didn’t know what vitamins and minerals I needed.

 

Here’s what Aidan’s teacher had to say about him: 

“Aidan has worked hard in his course and has asked questions to better understand health and nutrition concepts he’s learning. He has also taken on a personal goal to start eating better and exercise more and is regularly updating me on his progress in the Reflections and messages.”

In Aidan’s Nutrition class he reflected on his new eating and exercise habits, he has reported on how its changed his body and mind:   

  • Reflection 1.2: My reflection Journal – This past week I have been exercising eating right and I’m a much happier person. I’ve been a vegetarian for five days now. People don’t think I’m getting enough protein though. But I do I’m still fit and my mood (has) gotten a lot better so I think I am. I have also been able to focus on what’s important.
  • Reflection 2.1: I have been happier since I began exercising daily and I have been a Pollo Pescetarian. If you don’t know what that is it is a person who only eats poultry, seafood, and the like. I have ate meals where I’m at with no meat at all a lot of times. I have exercised a lot I’m feeling healthy. I love being healthy I’m happier and I feel strong.

Meet Student of the Week Brooke S.

Let us introduce you to our student of the week, Brooke S.! Brooke just finish up her Group Sports class and has reflected on the many positive changes and habits she’s made. Brooke and her teacher are excited about the increase in her physical health. SOW_LaurenS

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

What I liked most about the Carone Learning course that I took is that the website is helpful as well as easy to operate. Also, my instructor was always available and responded within a couple hours if I had a question on an assignment. The course was not only educational, but encouraged me to live a healthy lifestyle.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

The Carone Learning course taught me how to manage my daily personal life and exercise, and how to create my own workout plan. Along with teaching me the importance of how to develop a daily healthy life.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

During the Carone Leaning course my level of health and fitness have both improved tremendously! As I am approaching the end of my semester, I have lost 20 pounds due to my weekly fitness routine that I developed for my course! It is life changing.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

My cFitness Academy instructor was absolutely wonderful. I could not have asked for a better instructor. She helped me with assignments as well as responded to my emails within a couple hours. She was also understanding and would help me manage my time with my personal life, school life, and my class on Carone Fitness. If I would not be on my class for a few days, she always checked up on me through email and would keep me on task.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

I signed up for this course through my school counselors, because I am graduating a year early and could not fit physical education into my schedule which is needed to graduate.

I have taken multiple classes online, not just physical education but other subjects, and Carone Learning was my hands-down favorite. I wish they had more subjects available! I highly recommend Carone Learning to anybody!

I’ve also been delighted with her personal fitness and health goals that she’s been working on over the semester and am excited about the progress she’s made.”

In Brooke’s Group Sports class she reflected on the goals she set at the beginning of the class, here is one of her goals and her reflection on it:   

  • Goal #3: Adapt to a daily workout routine.
              In the class I had to create many different workouts to meet the weekly requirements. Although, I went beyond with the requirements, I developed a daily exercise workout that I can follow through with and will fit perfectly with my schedule. The past few weeks, I have adapted to one specific routine which I am going to stick to but I’ll always be pushing myself to be better.

Meet Student of the Week Preston W.!

Let us introduce you to our student of the week, Preston W.! Preston in currently taking our Health and Personal Wellness course. He’s in an online course so he could have more availability for other courses in his schedule at school. He is also working on a health habit, while in the health and personal wellness course, to be in better shape before his baseball season starts in the spring. 

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

I like that I can access the material at any time.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

It has helped improved my communication skills.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

I’m more active. I set a personal goal that I am working on in this class to be more physically active.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

She is helpful with questions that I have.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

Taking this course helped me open up other scheduling options for other classes.

In Preston’s Health & Personal Wellness class he has been working on his personal health habit of getting in better shape before baseball season starts. He reports his progress each week, with realistic barriers and ways to over come them. 

“I have done about one fourth more of sit ups than I use to be able to. The time constraints in the morning to get ready for school were some of the insignificant barriers. My baseball coach has encouraged me by telling me to keep up the good work.”

Meet Student of the Week Eli R.

Let us introduce you to our student of the week, Eli R.!  Eli is taking Health and Personal Wellness , he is working toward being a physical therapist. He goes to a very small school and so taking online health is helpful to his schedule at school. Find out more about Eli.Eli R

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

What I like most about the course is that like some of the classes I take, you have to take in so much in one day. That’s why I like this course because you can learn the hardest topics piece by piece.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

I think so far it is healthy relationships because I had no idea what a healthy relationship was before this course. In a way it can help me it can help me look at my own relationships and help me make decisions about what I can do to make a better relationship. I can also help others if they need help creating a stronger bond.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

One way this has helped me improve is before this course I only thought health was being fit and eating well but I was very wrong. This course has helped me improve strengthen all of my different types of health. My two most improved is Social health and Healthy relationships. These lessens have helped me to interact with others in a different and more respectful way. These lessons have also taught me how to make the most logical decisions mentally and socially.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

My instructor Rhonda Wheelwright has helped me in a lot of ways. The first thing is that when I was introduced to Rhonda she wasn’t weird to talk to, she was very welcoming to this course and that made me more comfortable. Everything that I would ask she would answer in the most understanding response. Rhonda has also helped motivate me to improve my grades by telling me great job, keep it up all the time and that motivated me.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

First of all I have been wanting to be a Physical Therapist for a while and before I took one of those classes I am required to take this class and I am glad that I was required to take this class and learn about all the different types of health. The way this has been beneficial is his has helped me see all the different types of health and how to improve yourself and help others.

Please share any other comments you have about cFitness Academy or your Carone Learning course.

I love the assignments, I’m always exited to do those because sometimes they give you fun activities that you can learn from

Here’s what Eli’s teacher had to say about him: 

“Eli always works hard and does his best, is through and caring with answers and I can tell that the information that he’s learning is important to him.”

In Eli’s Health and Personal Wellness class he was asked how he would help a grieving friend, this was his response:

First I would figure out what step [of the grieving process] they are in to figure out where they are. I would always be there to talk and listen if he needs to at any time. I will try not to ask questions that make the problem worse. I will also bring up good memories about the loss to make them happier. I would also respect their grieving and maybe even cheer them up with a little note.

I enjoy how convenient and motivational the course is.

From this course I learned that if you take small steps to improve your fitness, it can lead to positive outcomes that’s impact your life both physically and emotionally.

Every week I can monitor my improvement.

I signed up to get credits for school but ended up enjoying the course because it motivated me to find time for physical activity in my schedule.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

I like that I can work at my own pace, that way I can ensure I’m doing all my assignments up to my full potential.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

Considering that I am taking first aid, I have learned how to evaluate a person whom may be ill or injured. By doing this, I can see signs when a person isn’t acting right. This will help to detect injuries or illnesses early on, which could potentially save someone’s life.

Has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

Yes, it has taught me things to do, to keep me clean and healthy. Even small things and habits I start can improve my heath over time.

Has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

Yes, very much so. Mrs. Wheelwright keeps up with my progress and sends me emails every so often to let me know how I am doing. By doing this, it helps me stay on track.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

I had finished my first online class with plenty of time to spare. I didn’t want to just sit around and do nothing. I am currently in a Patient Care Technician class at our Career and Technical Center. By taking First Aid, I can already see vocabulary and skills that I have learned in both classes that go together.

Please share any other comments you have about cFitness Academy or your Carone Learning course.

I believe this class has already helped me tremendously and I have not even completed it. I have learned so many things that will benefit me as I continue my education to become a Registered Nurse.

Here’s what Baleigh’s teacher had to say about her: 

Baleigh pays attention to detail and is very thorough and thoughtful with the work she does.

In Baleigh’s First Aid class she has been exploring how to help others in many situations.  As part of an assignment she identified how to help others in the scene of an accident.    

Question: What are some clues that would tell Alex that the scene is not safe to approach? Once the scene is deemed safe, what should Alex do to assess the people involved in the car accident?

Baleigh’s Response: Some clues that would tell Alex the scene was not safe to approach would be the road conditions, if he could see blood inside the cars, or if the cars kept sliding due to the conditions of the road. If it was deemed safe, he should go to each victim and ask them if they were okay, if they were in pain, and if they didn’t answer in some way, he would know that they were unconscious. He should then call the ambulance and fire department. He should not try to move the victims only stay with them to make sure nothing else happens.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

A few things I really enjoy about my Carone Learning course is that I can set my pace and go quicker or slower each week as long as I meet my deadline, and that I can have a good one-on-one with my instructor, either by emails or phone calls.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

My goal is to become a Registered Nurse, so the anatomy and physiology from Carone Learning are exposing me to what I would be learning in post-secondary education.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

Carone Learning has helped my improve my level of health by teaching me some of the important functions my body performs – like what foods I need for proper digestion, or to keep my hair healthy.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

My instructor has been a big help by explaining how the course works, what pace I should keep to make sure I get everything done in time, and material I do not understand; also, has been very encouraging since I started my courses.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

I signed up for a Carone Fitness Academy because I really wanted to take anatomy and physiology, but could not fit it into my high-school schedule. It has been a beneficial course because now I am exposed to what I will be majoring in during college, and it is good to know about your body.

What do you like most about your Carone Learning course?

I like that I can do my work independently without any classroom distractions. I can work at a pace that works or me and I can challenge myself more than if I was in a classroom environment.

What have you learned in your Carone Learning course that will most help you in your life?

I have learned how to pace myself and change habits. Last semester and at the beginning of this semester, I have learned how to change habits you have formed over time. I think this is helpful because I’ve been wanting to make my habits better and the course has taught me how.

How has your Carone Learning course helped you improve your level of health or fitness?

Now that I have learned about health habits and how to pace myself, I am drinking more water and staying hydrated. At the beginning of the summer, I barely drank any water or other beverages, but now I drink at least two bottles a day.

How has your cFitness Academy instructor helped you with your course or your goals?

My instructor gave me an email and phone number to use in case I had any questions or problems throughout the course. Whenever something happens or I have a question, I email her about it to see if it can be fixed. My instructor is very helpful is always willing to work with you through your problems. When you email her, she always gets back to you within about 24 hours.

Why did you sign up for a course through cFitness Academy, and how has taking this course online been beneficial?

I signed up because I did not have room in my schedule to take health. I wanted to get my credit this year (my 9th grade year) so I would have three years to get my other two credits. The online course is beneficial to me because I can take all the classes I wanted to take this year and still have my credit for health. I wouldn’t be able to take the classes I’m in right now if it wasn’t for cFitness. Because of that, I am grateful.

“Kristen always wants to do her best no matter what. She is willing to retry an assignment to fix even a small mistake. I appreciate her thoughts and views and that she’s kind and caring to others.”

In Kristen’s Life Skills health class she has been exploring her own identity– what makes Kristen who she is?  As part of an assignment she identified her own personal mission statement, personal values and talents.    

Mission statement: “Make no enemies.” This was my grandpa’s life motto, and now it is my own. Personal Values: 1. I believe in love for everyone. 2. I believe in equality. 3. I believe in respect and loyalty. Talents: 1. I am artistic. 2. I am intelligent.
